Name: Kentucky Fried Chicken Colonel's Scholars Program

Eligibility: HS seniors who has maintained a GPA of 2.75 or higher, enrolling in a public, in-state college or university with a start date of no later than 9/30/09, pursue a bachelor's degree and is a U.S. citizen or permanent resident.

Eligibility: All full-time graduating high school seniors in good academic standing (minimum GPA 3.2) of any ethnic or cultural background, who plans to attend an accredited college (2-year and 4-year) or vocational school. Applicants who are United States citizens or permanent residents of the United States.

Selection: Judging will be based on academic achievements (transcript), activities (sports, clubs, jobs, etc), and letter of recommendation and scholarship essay. See scholarship application for additional details.

Eligibility: HS Seniors who must apply at one of the ten NCCE partner colleges and universities. GPA must be 3.5 of higher.

Eligibility: HS seniors who must be nominated by a leader in the community, teacher, coach, volunteer director, Young Life leader etc, 3.0 gpa or higher, demonstrate financial need, citizen of United States, must be pursuing a bachelor's degree.

Selection: Applicants must demonstrate exemplary leadership, drive, integrity, and citizenship.

Eligibility: HS Senior, applicants will be judged on having shown compassion, courage, and a strong commitment to promoting a peaceful world through a vegetarian diet/lifestyle. Selection: Essay, transcript, 3 letters of recommendation, documentation related to your promotion of vegetarianism.

Name: Students of Color Career Conference & Scholarship Program Deadline: February 29, 2012
Award: $1,000 Multiple Awards Website:Application

Eligibility: HS Senior in a Snohomish County HS, must be a person of color, must have a minimum GPA of 2.0 on a 4.0 scale, must attend the Snohomish County Students of Color Career Conference and be present to win. Disregard due date listed on the application. Turn them in by February 29th. Please see your Career Specialist for information on attending the conference.

Name: Buick Achievers Scholarship Deadline: February 29, 2012
Award: Up to $100,000 (1,100 scholarships awarded) Website: Application
Eligibility: HS Seniors plannng to attend a US accredited 4 year college or university and planning to major that focuses on Engineering/Technology or Design and Business related programs (see website for details and eligible majors). Must be interested in pusuing a career in the automotive or related industries. Must be a US citizen. Selection: Achademic achievement, financial need, leadership in community and school activities, work experience and interest in automotive industry.

Name: Washington State Elks Vocational Grant Award Deadline: February 29, 2012

Eligibility: HS Senior planning to pursue a vocational/technical program culminating in an associate degree, diploma or certificate less than a Bachelors Degree. Selection: Essay and letters of recommendation.

Name: Soroptimist International of Everett Deadline: February 29, 2012

Name: Washington State PTA Scholarship

Deadline: March 1, 2012

Award: $1,000 - $2,000 Website: Application

Eligibility: HS Senior who is enrolled in a Washington State public high School. You must have a cumulative gpa of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale. Please see chart on application to see if you qualify based on your household adjusted gross income.

Selection: Grants are awarded based on financial need, academic performance, and leadership/community service.

Name: Wendy Jackson Hall Memorial Deadline: March 1, 2012

Award: $10,000 over two years

Eligibility: HS Senior from a WA public high school, must demonstrate artistic talent in visual arts, have a 3.0 or higher gpa, desire to encourage artistic endeavors within the generla community, be accepted into a visual arts program of accredited four year US college or university. Selection: Application, 5 pieces of artwork, two letters of recommendation, transcript, and financial need.

Name: Robert J. Handy (PEMCO-Foundation, Inc) Deadline: March 1, 2012

Award: $900 per year for up to 4 years (16 awarded) OR WSSR Foundation: $1500 (8 awarded)

Name: The American Chemical Society Scholars Program Deadline: March 1, 2012

Eligibility: Varies - please see individual scholarships for more information.

This program is designed to attract minority groups underrepresented in the sciences by the National Science Foundation. (Chemistry, biochemistry, chemical engineering, etc.)

Selection: Scholarships are awarded on the basis of academic standing, financial need, and career objective.

Name: Zonta International Scholarship Deadline: March 1, 2012

Award: $2,000 (local winners proceed to district level and are eligible for additional $1000, 5 additional awards at international levelof $3000 each)

Eligibility: Female HS Senior who plans to attend a university/college in the fall of 2012. Selection: Evidence of active commitment to volunteerism, leadership, international awareness and show dedication to advancing the status of women worldwide.

Name: Wings Over America Scholarship Foundation

Deadline: March 1, 2012 - pre-qualification deadline

Award: $2,000 - multiple awards for tuition and tuition related expenses Website: Application

Eligibility: Candidates who are children of U.S. Navy service members (Officer or Enlisted, active duty, retired, honorably discharged or deceased) must be graduating seniors who plan to enroll, or college students who are enrolled, in an accredited college as a full time student taking a minimum of 12 credit hours per semester in order to graduate with a B.A. or B.S. degree. Additionally, the applicant's sponsor must have completed at least eight (8) years of active duty in a Naval Aviation (squadron or training command) or subordinate command (carrier, naval air station, etc.). Selection: Scholastic merit, community service involvement, extracurricular activities, recommendations and essay responses.

Eligibility: HS Senior planning to earn a degree in K - 12 education, must have at least a 3.0 gpa. Selection: Application, essay, three reference letters, and official transcipt. Also based on leadership, community service, honors and awards, student activities, and educational goals.

Name: Washington State Employees Credit Union Scholarship Program

Deadline: March 5, 2012

Must be received in office by 5:00pm March 5th. Mail by March 2nd!

Award: (20) $2,000 - four year school,(7) two year - avocational degree or certificate (45 awarded)

Name: Air Force Dependents - General Henry H. Arnold Education Grant Program Deadline: March 9, 2012

Eligibility: HS Senior depdendent child of Air Force member: active duty, retired, retired reservists, deceased. Must maintian a minimum 2.0 while working on undergraduate degree.

Selection: Must be enrolled as full-time undergraduates at an accredited college or university

Name: NW Plus Credit Union Scholarship

Deadline: March 9, 2012

Award: $1,000

Eligibility: HS Senior must be a member of the credit union at least 90 days before applying for scholarship.

Selection: Two letters of recommendation required. Academic record, community service, school activities, educational goals essay, and personal interview.

Name: Ewing C. Kelly Scholarship Deadline: March 12, 2012
Award: $2,500 Website: Application
Eligibility: HS seniors with an acceptance at a 2 or 4 year institution of higher learning, composite score of 20 on ACT or composite score of 840 on SAT, must be a US citizen or have a green card. Must attend a high school in the Everett School District. Selection: Applicants will be judged on citizenship, extra-curricular and academic achievement and financial need.

Name: Kohl's Kids Who Care AGES 6-18 Deadline: March 15, 2012
Award: Store Winners More than 2,100 store winners will be awarded a $50 Kohl's Gift Card. Regional Winners The 200 regional winners will be awarded $1,000 scholarships toward their post-secondary education. National Winners Ten national winners will be awarded $10,000 scholarships and Kohl's will donate $1,000 to a nonprofit organization on their behalf. Website: Apply Online
Eligibility: Must be nominated based on volunteer activities. Nominees must be between the ages of 6 and 18 and not yet a high school graduate as of March 15, 2011. Each nominee must be nominated by someone age 21 years or older. Selection: Based on application and information from nominee. Volunteer activity must have happened in the last 12 months.

Name: Washington State Association for Justice - Presidents' Scholarship Deadline: March 16, 2012

Eligibility: HS seniors with demonstrated academic achievement and planned advancement toward a degree in an institution of higher learning, documented need for financial assistance, history of achievement despite having been a victim of injury or overcoming a disability, handicap or similar challenge, record of commitment to helping people in need or protecting the rights of injured persons, plan or commitment to apply the education to be funded toward helping people, residency in Washington State.

Eligibility: EHS HS senior - must be able to attend Central Lions Club Meeting to receive the award.

Name: Leadership 1000 Scholarship Deadline: March 23, 2012
Award: $2,500 to $5,000 (multiple awarded) Website: Apply Online

Eligibility: HS Seniors planning to attend an eligible four year college or university in Washington State, must be a Washington STate resident, must financial need requirements, have a minimum gpa of 2.75 and enroll full time in college.

Selection: A Leadership 1000 Scholarship can be customized around a general set of requirements requested by the donor. There are many donors and many scholarships available. Financial need.

Eligibility: HS Senior in California, Oregon, or Washignton planning to attend college in one of those states. Must be entering their first year of college in Fall 2012 at a 4 year college or university and planning to major in math, engineering, or a technical science. Must have a minimum gpa of 3.0.

Name: Janice M. Scott Memorial Fund Deadline: March 31, 2012

Eligibility: HS Senior with minimum gpa of 3.0, strong leadership, community service and extra curricular activities, US citizen or permanent resident of US. Gross income cannot exceed $100,000.

Selection: (1) Need, (2) academics, (3) community service, and (4) writing skill.

Name: Davis Law Group Scholarship Deadline: March 31, 2012

Eligibility: The DLG Viral Video Scholarship Contest was created as a community service project to help educate the public on safe driving practices by awarding a scholarship to the film student or video production enthusiast who creates the best public service announcement video. High school student.

Name: Dorothy Bogdanovich Scholarship Deadline: April 6, 2012

Eligibility: Must be a graduating high school senior. Must have completed75 hours of volunteer service as a member of the Providence Everett Medical Center Volunteer Program. Selection: Must be pursuing a career as a health care practicioner (i.e. nurse, doctor, therapist). Eligibility: Writing contest for 9th - 12th grade Washington state students who have survived cancer, watched a family member who has dealt with cancer, watched a peer deal with cancer, or has ever wondered what it would be like to live through cancer. Selection: Based on essay.

Name: Scottish Rite of Freemasonry Scholarship - Cascade HS and HM Jackson HS Only

Deadline: May 1, 2012

Award: $2,500 (2) Website: Application

Eligibility: HS Senior from Cascade or HM Jackson HIgh School planning to attend a 2 year or 4 yearpublic university or college or planning to attend a vocational/technical school.

Selection: Scholastic achievement, community service, citizenship, and evaluation of written responses.

Name: Rita Lowe Scholarship Washington State Math Council

Deadline: May 15, 2012

Eligibility: Any senior graduating from a high school in the State of Washington who is planning to attend a college or university within Washington State, and is planning to major in Mathematics Education and pursue teaching certification in order to become a professional mathematics educator (eg. a math teacher - elementary or secondary) is eligible to apply for the High School Division Scholarship.

Selection: Letter of recommendations, SAT/ACT scores, official transcript, and essay.

Award range: From $1,000 one time award to full four year tuition awards.

Selection: Typicaly merit based and cover a broad range of scholastic abilities.

Name: AES Engineers Scholarship Deadline: October 5, 2012
Award: $500

Eligibility: HS Seniors planning to further higher education. You do not need to be interetsed in engineering to be considered.

Do not include your resume. Just include your name, school attending, plans for 2012-2013 and essay.

Selection: Based on character - not just gpa. Essay required.

Students must sumbit an essay of no more than 1000 words in answer to the following question:

What are your dreams for your future? When you look back on your life in thirty years, what would it take for you to consider your life successful?

Name: Alert Magazine Scholarship Deadline: No deadline - ongoing

Eligibility: HS Senior with a minimum gpa of 2.5. You must have plans to attend college after high school.

Selection: Based on essay. 650 - 800 words about a personal encounter you or someone you know has had with drugs or alcohol. Please see website for more information.
