Everett Public Schools Foundation is a community-based, non-profit foundation that was founded with the intent to develop and provide community support to strengthen academic achievement within the Everett Public Schools. Since its inception in 1985, the purpose and mission of the EPS Foundation has remained essentially the same: to make a positive impact and provide resources to help our students and staff succeed. Foundation update:

Stuff the Bus for Kids was a great success in 2011! Together with our community partners, we provided 1,425 filled backpacks to all of our requesting schools. Please join us in thanking the following partners: The Boeing Company and their employees, Costco, Fred Meyer, Durham Transportation Services, Northwest Plus Credit Union, the Rotary Club of Everett and Molina Healthcare. Many thanks to all of the individual donors and companies who helped us "Stuff the Bus for Kids"!

bulletThe EPS Foundation was pleased to add the High School and Beyond family nights to its programming this year. $10,000 in support was given to help put on three nights of college and career exploration for all of our students and their families this October. Each event featured a keynote speaker, a menu of breakout sessions to help our students and families explore college and career options as well as a college and career fair. Translations of all communications, interpreters, and transportation were provided to assist our families in attending these events. It was estimated that over 3,000 parents and students participated with more than 40 colleges and post-high school institutions represented. The purpose of these events is to build a college-going culture of exploration, preparation and readiness for all students. Whether college or post-high school training is in their future, this event promotes goal setting beyond completion of high school.

Emma Yule was a bright and courageous young woman who served as Everett's first and only teacher in December 1891. In honor of her tradition of excellence, the Everett Public Schools Foundation created the Emma Yule Society. It provides many opportunities for sponsors, businesses, community leaders and individuals to invest in our area's most important resources...our children and the educators who inspire them. This year are opportunities to personalize your gift through classroom grant recognition. Visit Emma Yule Society and learn more about these opportunities.
