District technology plan on target
The state requires every school district to submit a technology plan each year. Work for the spring submittal has been underway for some time, and the instructional technology team presented the first draft to the school board in October.
To test whether the plan was truly emphasizing student needs, teaching and educational programs, the team submitted the plan's words to Wordle.net, an online tool that graphically displays words in a body of text. Words most frequently used appear larger than others in direct proportion to the number of times they appear.
The graphic below is the result of the information systems and technology department's check to see that the district's technology plan and thus district resources are focused most prominently on what students need to learn and what teachers need to teach. |
