Learning for All: Whatever it Takes is our motto. We are clearly focused on every student learning to their highest potential.
Emerson is proud of our tradition of achievement. In 2001 we were the recipient of a Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation school grant. This grant brought us over $250,000 in staff development and technology over three years. In 2005 and again in 2007 we received a Title 1 Outstanding Achievement Award for our improvement in WASL scores.
Those awards are recognition that Emerson is a great place to learn. Our teachers know each one of our 600 children as individuals, to better meet their social and academic needs. Evidence of student work can be seen throughout the hallways and classrooms. Credentialed specialists teach the children music, technology, physical education and library skills. The highly trained staff uses a framework of essential learnings which includes the best knowledge and skills that are taught and learned.
As principal, I believe communication is the key to success in a school. It is the foundation of a solid partnership. You are invited to communicate often with the school to keep us informed of your concerns and participation. We welcome your visits and hope you will volunteer to help in your child's classroom and with other school events.

Directions to Emerson Elementary School
Northbound & Southbound: From I-5, take exit 189 to Highway 526 (Mukilteo/Evergreen Way). Exit at Evergreen Way and turn left. Turn left again, this time at Casino Road and then right at the stoplight (7th Avenue). Emerson is approximately two blocks on your right, (St. Mary Magdalen Church is on the left).
