Welcome to our school
Heatherwood is fortunate to have an outstanding staff that is dedicated to helping students learn and attain success. Together with our supportive and involved parents and families and our students who care about learning and preparing themselves for their future, we work collaboratively as we journey to become an exemplary middle school.
All middle schools in Everett Public Schools continue to implement the grade-level competencies into each class, which reinforce state learning standards with students demonstrating the ability to be self-directed learners, efficient users of skills and strategies, and effective problem-solvers and communicators.
We strive to create a true sense of community as we develop relationships and make strong connections with our students in order to provide a caring and safe environment that enhances learning and well-being. As we challenge students to reach and meet high academic standards and to develop strong problem-solving skills, we also provide them with the opportunities to explore new horizons and to be involved in multiple extracurricular activities. Our focus is on the whole child during these formative adolescent years, and we are thankful for the opportunity to work with Heatherwood students and to see them grow as students and as individuals and citizens.
