Teacher Principal Evaluation Pilot (TPEP)

What is TPEP?

The Teacher Principal Evaluation Pilot (TPEP) is a statewide change to the current evaluation process for teachers and principals. You can read more about the Senate Bill below.

How is Everett preparing?

The district, EEA and EASA applied for and received a regional implementation grant from NWESD in 2011. As one of five districts who were chosen to be a part of this consortia, we are working with OSPI and NWESD to develop and implement an evaluation model.

Timeline

The state requires that all school districts begin implementing the new evaluation standards by fall of 2013, with all staff on board by fall of 2015. The regional implementation group (RIG) requires that at least 20 percent of our teaching staff, all new and provisional teachers and all school administrators use the new evaluation tools starting in fall 2012. Currently, the pilot includes about 27 percent of our teaching staff.
