Welcome to our school
Welcome to Woodside School, a safe and happy place where children learn best! Our school community offers excellent learning opportunities with curricular programming that enriches the whole child and achieves results for every student. The Woodside staff work together as a team and are committed to creating a positive, productive, and inclusive learning environment that supports students learning to high standards. The success of our students is a shared responsibility that includes staff, parents and community members working together.
Woodside Elementary embraces an active PTA that provides enrichment programs and support for instructional activities that benefit each student at our school. Parents partner with teachers to meet the individual learning needs of our school population.
As we plan for the 2009 — 2010 school year, we remain clearly focused on our mission: Woodside is a place where each child is empowered to reach their highest academic and social potential in a safe and nurturing environment. Our mission will be accomplished by setting the achievement bar high for all students and working as a team to achieve success. I am proud to be a part of Woodside's community of learners and invite you to visit and see what staff, families, and community partnerships can do for kids when we work together.
-- Dr. Betty J. Cobbs, Principal
