EHS Community:
I am still reeling from the excitement of our celebration on Saturday! We estimate that nearly 2000 people were on campus to join us in celebrating the centennial of our Main Building. It was truly a sight. Everyone raved about how much fun they had. The stories people were telling dating back to the 1920's and 1930's were priceless. The library was filled to capacity all day as people thumbed through old yearbooks and scrapbooks. Retired staff members were united with their students, now grown of course. There were quite a few touching homecomings. Lost yearbooks were replaced and memories shared.
If you were able to attend, thank you for supporting this event. I hope it was a memorable one for you. Our students were fabulous! The NJROTC cadets, Leadership students, Torch Honor Society members, Be The Change Club, Band, Choir, Sammy the Seagull, ASB, Digital Photography students, Bookworms and Cheer Squad (I hope I did not forget anyone!) worked so hard and truly impressed the community. If your child was here, please give him or her a big pat on the back for a job well done. Community members commented throughout the day on how polite and respectful our students were. The highlight was seeing our current students lead the Alma Mater to a standing room only crowd in the Civic Auditorium.
If you missed the event or you want to relive it, we have been given a generous gift by Dr. Sanford Wright Jr. He hired Puget Sound Video to record the event and has posted it on his website.

Class of 2010 Grad Night Update
Dear Parents of the Class of 2010,
Plans are underway to ensure a successful Grad Night Party for our 2010 graduating seniors. I know that the desire of every parent is to see his or her child enjoy a successful senior year, both academically and socially. After all, this is a pivotal year — they are on the brink of adulthood!
Senior year is not only an exciting and chaotic time for your student, but for us parents as well. It's a sea of mixed emotions — can't wait for them to graduate, but yet, I think most of us miss those baby years and find it hard to believe they are well on their way to adulthood.
A parent committee has been formed to make plans to provide an awesome event for our kids'All Night Grad Party as well as plans to ensure that, financially, all the expenses are covered between ticket sales, donations and fundraisers.
A large part of the ensuring costs are covered through ticket sales — this aspect alone covers the majority (if not all) of the costs of the event itself — leaving transportation, scholarships and raffle item expenses to be dealt with through fundraisers and solicitation of donations. Ticket prices currently are $140.00 per student. Purchase your ticket now to ensure a spot (only 100 available) for your student to attend this awesome after graduation event. Deadline to purchase tickets is May 15th.
What is the Grad Night party? It is an all-night party that takes place the night approx. (9:30 pm-6:30 am) of graduation in a safe and supervised environment. Chaperoned students are bussed to 2-3 different venues where lots of food, fun and friends await.
We plan to raffle items throughout the evening of this event and will need donations of gift baskets, and gift cards if possible.
