I. TECHNOLOGY REQUIREMENTS -------------------------- Student/Families certify that they meet the technology requirements to participate in the Everett Public Schools Online learning, which includes: - Computer: PC w/ Pentium processor & Windows 98 or newer or Macintosh PowerPC & System X (10.2) - RAM (64 MB or more) - Color Monitor (16 bit, 600 x 800 resolution) - Internet connection: 56K modem or faster (DSL, cable, etc.) - Sound card w/ speakers - Hard Drive: 40MB with adequate free space - Web browser: Internet Explorer (IE) 6.0 or later version or Netscape (Navigator) 4.61 or later version II. ATTENDANCE, PROGRESS, & END DATE ------------------------------------- The student is responsible for making reasonable progress to complete the course within 90 days. Students will log-in daily and complete work weekly. STUDENTS ARE AUTOMATICALLY DROPPED FROM THEIR COURSE IF AFTER TEN (10) DAYS THEY DO NOT DEMONSTRATE PRODUCTION AND PROGRESS ON THE COURSE WORK. For Seniors needing an OnlineHS course credit to graduate, and intending to participate in graduation exercises, you MUST notify the instructor to verify completion dates for eligibility. III. GRADING & CREDIT --------------------- All OnlineHS courses are approved by the Everett School District and are taken for a letter grade. Grades are reported to the student’s school in accordance with a reporting schedule. The school records the grade(s) onto the student transcript. IV. PLAGIARISM & ETHICS ----------------------- Plagiarism is a serious academic offense. Plagiarism is a form of dishonesty that occurs when a student passes off someone else's work as their own. This can range from failing to cite an author or published work for ideas incorporated into the student’s paper, to handing in someone else's work as their own. Plagiarism or cheating of any kind is not acceptable. Students who do so will receive a "0" on the assignment(s) and be put on notice that any further incident will result in a failing grade for the course and an inability to take further OnlineHS courses. Dishonesty of any kind is not acceptable.
